Meme placement for AI agents

Agents are good at drafting articles and bad at knowing where a meme lands. This page gives them the rule: find the emotional beat, place at most one meme after it, and emit Markdown with descriptive alt text.

Tools like Claude Code, Codex and Cursor increasingly write and edit posts inside a repo or CMS. A meme pass is a natural final step in that pipeline: the agent reads the finished draft, marks sentences carrying surprise, frustration, success, failure, money, waiting, disagreement, celebration, confusion or relief, and inserts a named template after each qualifying paragraph — capped at one per paragraph gap and about six per article.

Copyable instruction block

Paste this SKILL.md-style block into your agent's instructions. It points the agent at the MemeMyPost workflow described on this site. It is a guide, not a live integration.

# Meme placement (MemeMyPost workflow)
# Reference: https://mememypost.pages.dev/for-ai-agents/
1. Only run on a FINISHED draft. Never change the author's sentences.
2. Split the draft into paragraphs, then sentences.
3. Tag each sentence with at most one emotion:
   surprise, frustration, success, failure, money,
   waiting, disagreement, celebration, confusion, relief.
4. After a paragraph containing a tagged sentence, insert ONE meme block:
   > [emoji] **Meme: [Template Name]**
   > ![descriptive alt text](REPLACE-WITH-IMAGE)
Templates: This Is Fine, Surprised Pikachu, Drake,
Success Kid, Stonks, Woman Yelling at Cat, Doge,
Two Buttons, Change My Mind, Monkey Puppet,
   Distracted Boyfriend, Waiting Skeleton.
5. Caps: max 1 meme per paragraph gap, max 6 per article.
6. Never invent image URLs. Name the template and describe
the reaction in alt text; a human supplies the image.
7. Output the full article as Markdown, unchanged otherwise.

Roadmap — stated honestly

There is no live MemeMyPost API or MCP server today. A hosted API, an MCP tool and installable agent skills are on the roadmap. Until they ship, the workflow above — plus the free in-browser tool on the home page — is the whole product. Any page claiming a live MemeMyPost API right now would be overstating it, and this one will not.

Why a rule agents can follow beats a vibe

“Add some memes” produces clutter. The caps and the beat rule are what make agent output publishable without a heavy edit: one meme per beat, descriptive alt text, no fabricated image URLs, and the author's words untouched.
